Services & Information Centre

The Information Centre, at 56 Stow Hill, is the first point of contact for women who need practical and emotional support and / or refuge due to domestic abuse. Information Centre is open from 9am – 4.30pm.


We have 2 refuges in Newport which offer a safe place for women and children who needs to escape an abusive environment.

Our Move-On Worker

Our Move-On Worker supports families when they move out of a refuge into their new home.

Support groups

We currently run 3 groups to support families who have experienced domestic abuse.

If you are interested in any of the following programmes, please call the office for information or to complete a referral form.

Freedom Programme:  explores the effects, tactics and beliefs of an abusive relationship.

Hands Off: Group work for 7–12 year olds who have experienced domestic abuse.

The Recovery Toolkit:  The Recovery Toolkit is a 12 week programme for individuals who have experienced domestic abuse.
